Hello Roni, I just started my own blog to track my weight loss journal. I set up my blog on blogspot but was looking at Wordpress as well. I’m so new to this that I wanted to ask which of the two do you recommend. I see you write about Wordpress and it seems to have more gadgets. Should I switch to Wordpress whle my blog is so young? Later, I would like to add recipes and photos that I’ve taken…and I’m not sure if blogspot is the home for me… any advise?

Whether you do it as a profession or a hobby, blogging is a very creative outlet. At the core it’s all about writing but you also express yourself visually through photographs, images, the design of your blog and, if you are a geek like me, even the code behind the scenes.
All of this creativity is why I do what I do. Blogging provides so many fun outlets that it naturally keeps me motivated. However, there are times when I find myself completely uninspired. Do you think it is better to have your own Domain Name for your blog, rather than using something like Blogger? What are the benefits and drawbacks?

Here it is! I can’t believe I actually finished it by my (own self-inflicted) deadline! If you guys didn’t already know SkinnyMinnyMedia is the name of the company I started when I decided to pursue blogging full time. Leaving a salaried position I felt the need to create an identity to make what I was doing seem all the more "real". It’s not a hobby anymore. It’s my career. Funny how things work out. I didn’t plan this I SWEAR! Jack happen to interview me the week I was planning my new blog about blogging.
